Gumtree Now Has An Android App

If you’ve been waiting eagerly for a Gumtree app for Android, you can put that eagerness to bed (though perhaps not literally). Owner eBay has pushed out an official option via Google Play, which you can grab free right now.

The app, which has managed over 5000 downloads and a perfect five-star rating since its release on February 12, weighs in at a lightweight 1.7MB. At first glance, the screenshots make it look a little bare bones in the interface department, but really, who cares about aesthetics if the functionality and responsiveness are there?

Speaking of functionality, the app sounds very rounded to me:

– Find ads near you
– Edit and manage your ads
– View full ad descriptions with high resolution photos
– Contact posters from within the app
– Refine search in search result
– Post an ad with pictures from your smartphone or take new pictures
– Track ads on your watch list
– Share ads via SMS (as well as Facebook, Twitter, and Email)

If you’d like to check it out, the app is available at no cost from Google Play.
