Brief news items of note for Lifehacker readers, including Virgin Australia seeing a ticket sales boost following its Sabre upgrade and R18+ legislation completing its passage in Queensland.
- Virgin's transition of its booking systems from Navitaire to Sabre was disruptive, but appears to be paying dividends. In its results announcement, Virgin said bookings through travel agents via the GDS system had increased fivefold since the upgrade. We still think it's a shame about the Flash though.
- With legislation now signed by the Governor, Queensland joins the rest of Australia in legally allowing the sale of R18+ games. Weirdly, it seems the first game that will take advantage of the new classification is Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2+ for the PS Vita. Yes, really.
- Telstra normally charges $2.93 a month to have a silent number, but the telco giant has agreed to waive that charge for people whose safety is at risk, including witnesses to crimes and victims of domestic violence. Good move.
