XBMC Releases Stable Version Of Its Media Centre For Android


Android: It seems like we’ve been waiting forever to get our favourite media centre application on Android. Well, the first user-friendly version of XBMC is finally here. Here’s what you need to know.

You’ll need to download two things for this version of XBMC: the XBMC application and an external video player like the MX Player listed at the link below. XBMC can’t handle hardware acceleration, so you need to use an external video player that does for the best experience. The user interface is much more friendly than the nightlies and beta we’ve seen before, and it even comes bundled with a few add-ons and the ability to use it as your default launcher.
