Put A Magnet In Your Pocket To Hold Screws For Easy Access

If you’re up on a ladder, or under a piece of machinery, keeping your screws easily accessible isn’t easy — after all, you can’t just throw them in an egg carton the way you can at a workbench. Here’s a simpler solution: put a magnet in your pocket.

This is similar to our previous suggestion of a DIY magnetic wristband, but much simpler: drop a magnet into your pocket and hang your screws, drill bits or other metal pieces outside your pocket as shown above. Make sure you have a strong magnet, so they don’t fall off. It’s a lot easier to grab them from the outside of your pocket than it is to try and reach inside, especially if you’re trying to keep your balance on a ladder or if you’re working in an enclosed space.

Small DIY tricks … the pocket magnet, useful if you are on a ladder. [Reddit]
