Make A Remote Camera Trigger From A Drink Can Tab

Making a remote camera trigger for your DSLR can be as simple as combining a drink can tab and a cable. Instructables user nk dtk shows how to make this dirt cheap remote in practically no time.

Basically, you bend the tab in half and fit it in one end of the 2.5mm male-to-male cable. Plug the other end to your camera, and then when you want to snap a photo, touch the top of the tab to the connector.

nk dtk uses this for his Canon DSLR. You might be able to do the same with your camera model. (And if not, you can create a remote camera trigger from a wireless doorbell.)
