DIY Beer Advent Calendar Fills The Season With Joy

Even though it may be a few days late for an advent calendar, this one may be worth starting anyway. Instructables user mikeasaurus has put together a beer advent calendar, where every new day in the month of December leads to a new brew worth tasting.

The beer is obviously the attraction here, but the calendar itself is easy to make at home. Just cut the cardboard tubes down to size, glue them together with craft glue, and then put the wrapping paper over the front and mark each space with a different date. Then, on the corresponding day, you can pop through the paper and pull out the beer for that day. Normally, advent calendars have lollies inside, but if you would rather celebrate the holidays with a cold one, it’s a fun project to do.
