Deep Sleep Battery Saver Controls Your Phone’s Sleep-Wake Cycle

Android: Deep Sleep Battery Saver aims to keep your battery from draining overnight by forcing the phone into a deeper sleep, where the radios and notifications are all disabled except on a schedule that the app controls (and that you set). Instead of leaving it up to the OS or putting the phone into sleep mode, Deep Sleep Battery Saver periodically checks for messages and alerts.

The app starts you off with five distinct profiles to choose from: Gentle, Balance, Strong, Aggressive and Slumberer. Each profile gets more aggressive about the period of time between wake states and notification checks. In each case, the app will keep your phone in a deep sleep, and then wake the device for one minute to grab new messages, social notifications, updates and so on. At any other time, your phone is in a deep sleep and saving battery.

Deep Sleep Battery Saver also distinguishes between weekday and weekend profiles, day and night settings, and it can even whitelist certain apps so they continue running. The Pro version of the app allows you to set up your own custom profiles and toggle each setting individually. Hit the Google Play link or check out the XDA thread below to see a more detailed description of how the app works.
