Soundslice Syncs Guitar Tabs With Video To Help You Learn To Play By Example

YouTube has made learning a new instrument a lot easier, as many people have posted lessons and examples to help others. New webapp Soundslice takes that approach a step further and syncs gutiar tabs with playback videos so you can not only learn the tabs, but experience how they’re supposed to be played as well.

Through the site, you can check out existing songs (such as Adrian Holovaty’s gypsy jazz rendition of the Super Mario Bros. 2 theme) or create your own. To help you learn, you can slow down playback to half-speed so things don’t move too fast. If you want to contribute to the collection of songs, a free account allows you to post your own videos and sync them with tabs. While still new, Soundslice provides a great resource for guitarists of varied skill to learn new music and contribute their own expertise to help others.
