Skype Selling Prepaid Cards In Australia

Want some Skype credit but don’t fancy sharing your credit card details? Skype has begun selling prepaid access cards in Australia from December.

The cards are offered in $10 and $25 denominations, and are available now from Harvey Norman, BP and Caltex service stations, and Allphones outlets. From December, they’ll also be sold through 7-Eleven stores.

You can use the cards to pay for both monthly calling plans and casual access. Oddly, you redeem the cards via a web site rather than in the Skype app itself, but it’s still a useful development.
