Add Inductive Charging To Any Smartphone With An Old Palm Pixi

Why plug in your phone to charge it when you could just place it on a stand? DIYer Fenris_Ulf took an old Palm Pixi and transferred its induction charging internals into his Galaxy Nexus for cable-free charging.

We’ve featured a few how-tos on this before, but this is the easiest and cleanest method we’ve seen yet. The Pixi’s charging internals are all under one little sticker, so you just need to stick it on the inside of an extended battery case for your phone, solder two wires onto the USB port (yes, there’s soldering involved, but only two measly wires!) and you’re done. You’ll have no wires or other hardware protruding from your phone, and it actually shouldn’t take too long to do. Check out the link below for the full instructions.
