DayScore Takes Score While You Build Better Habits

If you’re a fan of Seinfeld’s Productivity Method (also known as Don’t Break the Chain), DayScore is a handy web app that requires no logins, no subscriptions, and no hassles — but it does keep score every day as you work to build better habits and do the things you want to do.

When you visit DayScore, you get a custom URL that’s just for you. Bookmark it, and you can return to check your score, add or remove goals, or track your overall progress at any time. Because the page is just for you, you don’t have to log in to anything, sign up for anything or jump through any hoops. Just click and start adding your goals, whether they be “exercise every day”, “write 500 words in my novel each day” or “get through the morning without yelling at my office mate”.

Every day you complete a goal, click on it to boost your score. The app relies a bit on psychology — the more days you do the things on your list, the higher your score will go, and the better your graph will look. The graph itself is motivating, because you can see at a glance how well you’re doing on a daily or weekly basis. The web app reminds us a bit of Lift for iOS, which we’ve mentioned before, except DayScore is entirely on the web. If you want a no-frills, no-fuss way to build better habits, give it a try.
