Build Your Own iPhone Panoramic Bracket

With iOS 6, Apple gave us a new panoramic photo mode. Unless your hand is incredibly steady, they’re tough to take well, and you can’t get yourself in the picture. Blogger Ilya Titov decided to solve this problem with a DIY panorama bracket.

Using an ATTiny85, a lazy susan ball bearing, a small motor and a simple enclosure, Titov’s panoramic bracket not only take a perfectly level panorama photo, but it also takes a full cylindrical panorama, and then feeds the images into Pano2VR. The end result is a big, 360-degree image. Head over to Titov’s web site for a list of parts, samples, and a guide for making this for yourself.
