How is it that the Galaxy Nexus hasn't received this update yet? Forgive my naivety but I was under the impression when I purchased it that it would receive software updates ASAP as it's the flagship google phone.

My thoughts exactly. Since it's running essentially stock Android, shouldn't the updates roll out quicker too?

RE Nexus, I have one on Telstra.. I downloaded firmware update direct from Google and loaded it, stock.. It then got auto updates including JB 4.1.1

Vodafone HTC One X — Android 4.0.4 already started shipping on Saturday. Default browser has nice new easier to use buttons.
