Safe Slide Ensures Embarrassing Photos Don’t Accidentally Get Shared

iPhone: Your iPhone’s camera roll is a history of every picture and screenshot you’ve taken. When you’re showing off your photos, you don’t necessarily want to show them all because they’re embarrassing or just irrelevant. Safe Slide displays only the photos you want to show and none of the ones you don’t.

The app is pretty straightforward. Open it up, choose the images you want to share, and tap the Share button. A slide show will start where you can flick through your selected photos. Safe Slide will skip over anything you didn’t choose to display.

The app works really well in general, but I felt some minor lag on my iPhone 4 when swiping through photos. (This was, perhaps, a result of the installed jailbreak tools that tend to slow things down a bit.) The biggest downside to Safe Slide is the price. While $2 isn’t a lot of money, it’s a lot for one simple function that should be built into the included Photos app. For $1 it would be easier to recommend, but if you’ve ended up sharing some embarrassing photos or struggled to share the photos you wanted it’s worth the higher-than-ideal purchase price.
