MemStash Helps You Memorise With Reminders

MemStash is a new web service that aims to help you remember anything you may need to commit to memory, whether it’s someone’s name, a phone number, or facts and figures for an upcoming test. Best of all, it uses technology you already have — and it’s completely free.

When you sign up for a MemStash account, you get a bookmarklet that you can click every time you find something you want to memorise. Just highlight the text you want to remember, click the “Stash This” bookmarklet, and MemStash will take care of the rest. You’ll get three reminders via email or SMS within 10 minutes, 24 hours and seven days to remind you of it and help you commit it to long-term memory. If you like, you can link the service to your Evernote account and have your stashed items saved there as well.

MemStash doesn’t do anything that you couldn’t do manually with more effort, but the seamless way the service works is what makes it wonderful. The reminders make sure you don’t forget it after a few days, and you don’t have to download a new app or tool to use them.
