One of the reasons cables come untangled so easily is that they’re moving around, rubbing against other things in your bag. Sticking them in a glasses case keeps them from getting tangled up with everything else or getting lost in the mess that is your backpack. It isn’t as complete a solution as, say, the Grid-It, but if you have an extra case lying around, it’s the perfect way to transport your cables.
