Shade For Mac Cleans The Clutter From Your Desktop With One Click

Mac: Shade is a free app that helps you focus by removing distractions from your desktop. You can hide all your desktop clutter behind an image with one click.

Just drag your wallpaper or any other image to the Shade icon in the menubar, and it will fall down from the top of the screen and hide your desktop icons. Click the icon again to pull the shade up and reveal your files again. Shade doesn’t actually move the files in the fashion of previously mentioned Desktop Tidy, but it does hide them all so you can work without the distractions on your desktop. Remember, keeping clutter on your Mac’s desktop doesn’t just slow down your machine, it can slow down your brain too.
