Google Search Now Looks Snazzier On Your Mobile Device

Google has always been great at pulling up quick weather forecasts, doing quick calculations or looking up words. Today it updated its search engine to provide more attractive, interactive answers in these categories when using Google on a smartphone or tablet.

If you’re searching Google from a mobile browser, your new results will look very similar to the Google Now cards that show up on Android — simple, intuitive and easy to read. The desktop also features a few improvements (like a full scientific calculator that pops up every time you enter a maths problem).

The update is currently working for the main Google.com, but Google says it will expand to other countries (including Australia) in the near future. Having seen the arrival of Knowledge Graph this week, hopefully that enhancement won’t be too far behind.
