Convert Video Files Into Comic Book-Style Ebooks For Offline Reading

You can’t always sit around watching video, but that doesn’t mean you want to lose track of your favourite TV seasons. To solve this problem, blog Frisnit Electric Industrial devised a system to convert video from BBC’s iPlayer into a comic book-style text that can be read on a Kindle. The basic process for conversion is a little complicated, but the payoff is a clever way to make your own photonovel. Frisnit’s guide is made with iPlayer in mind, and uses Project X for subtitle conversion, lav2yuv to create the scenes, and FFmpeg to convert everything. The process is by no means straightforward, but it’s certainly ripe for streamlining and experimenting. Head over to Frisnit Electric Industrial for the guide.
