Choose Apps To Open Files From Mountain Lion’s Quick Look

Mac: You probably know that in OS X, you can right-click on any file to open it with the app of your choice. Mountain Lion adds a new tweak: if you’re browsing through files using Quick Look, you can do the same right from the Quick Look window.

Quick Look is still one of the best ways to get a closer peek at your files as you scroll through them. Mountain Lion lets you open those files directly from the Quick Look window by clicking “Open in Preview” (or whatever the default app is for that file). Cult of Mac points out you can right-click on that button to open the file in any app you want — perfect for when you want to edit a photo rather than just view it. Check out the video above to see it in action.
