This quotation comes from designer Charles Eames. Simply put, if you like something you ought to take it seriously — just like anything else that's important to you.

For Eames this meant turning design — his pleasure — into his work, but that may not be the best course of action for everyone. Sometimes it just means taking your hobbies and interests more seriously, rather than relegating them to the time you can scrounge up here and there. Make them important, because having fun and enjoying yourself is important. If you've got a hobby you need to make more time for, check out our guide on budgeting your hobbies for a little help.
