The Desk At The Edge Of The World

For all the design choices you can make for your workspace, little can outshine a great view. That’s what architect Todd Saunders saw when designing this artist residency.

The long desk hanging off the wall, facing a beautiful view, is just one of many in an artist residency created by the Shorefast Foundation’s Fogo Island Arts Corporation Residency Program. While few people are going to have the advantage of working on the edge of a shoreline, this workspace is a clear indicator that using a good view makes a major impact. So if you’re looking for a spot for your home workspace and a place to put your desk, consider the window.
