Found Is A Universal Search App For Cloud Services On Your Mac

Mac: If you use various cloud services such as Dropbox and Google Drive, it can be a pain to track down a specific file quickly. Found is an app that makes searching for files on the cloud and your hard drive as easy as using the default Spotlight search.

The handy thing about Found is that when you type in a search it immediately pops up a large preview of the top hit. As you scroll through the results, you’ll see large images, fully readable text documents and songs you can listen to, just like you would with Quick Look. You have to sign in with your Google info to add in Gmail and Google Drive, but once you do, it integrates the results directly into what’s on your hard drive and Dropbox account. To initiate a search with Found, you just have to click on a menubar icon or hit the Control key twice.

It might not seem like much, but the integration of your cloud files with the full-size previews does make hunting down files a little easier than using Spotlight. According to The Verge, support for cloud services like Evernote and Box are on the way as well. Found is a free download in the Mac App Store.
