Sparrow For Mac Updates With POP Support, Better Unified Inbox Sorting And More

Sparrow, our pick for the best email client on Mac has been updated to support POP accounts. This means anyone who doesn’t have IMAP support in their email (email services like Hotmail fall under this) can now use Sparrow properly.

The POP support is the big update here because it was the one missing feature that prevented a lot of people from using Sparrow. The update also adds in better unified account navigation and now allows you to bulk empty spam, flip through favourites, sent items and more in all your email accounts at once. A few smaller updates are included as well, including a pull to refresh for updates, an improved startup time and a few bug fixes here and there. Hit up the Sparrow blog for a full list and download the update in the Mac App Store. The free ad-supported version was updated as well if you’d like to give the POP support a test run.
