How to Set Up SBProfiles for iOS

SBProfiles is an awesome iOS app that can perform certain tasks on a schedule or when other conditions are met, but it takes a little bit of setup to get working correctly. Here’s what you need to know.

SBProfiles requires two things: a working copy of SBSettings from the Cydia store and a registration key to get all the features unlocked. It doesn’t explain either of these things in the app, so we’re here to tell you how to get it up and running.

  1. Search for SBProfiles in Cydia and install it on your device. Note that SBProfiles works directly with the popular SBSettings app, so if you haven’t used SBSettings before, it’ll install SBSettings as well.
  2. If you’ve never used SBSettings before, you’ll need to launch it at least once before SBProfiles will work correctly. So, open it up now and play around with it if you like.
  3. SBProfiles’s Wi-Fi trigger (one of its best features) will only work if you’ve made a small donation to the developer, so let’s do that now. Open up SBProfiles, tap the Donations tab at the bottom, and tap Get Product Key. Donate as much or as little as you want via PayPal (I donated $2), and you should get a product key via email that you can then enter on this same page.

Once you’re all registered and the SBSettings has been detected by SBProfiles, you’re ready to start creating profiles on your phone. Head on back to our full guide to making your iPhone read your mind for ideas.
