Read It Later Changes Its Name To Pocket, Adds New Features

The popular bookmarking service Read It Later gets a big update today, including a new name, interface and a price drop. On top of a new look, the service, now called Pocket, makes it easier to view videos and images while retaining the simple reading interface that you’re familiar with.

The biggest difference comes in the form of an entirely new interface. Where Read it Later’s iOS and Android apps had a simple list of articles, Pocket offers a snazzier look with a grid or list of articles that you’ve bookmarked. Pocket also introduces a better filtering system to swap between videos and text as well as a tagging system to help you organise all your bookmarked items. Despite the new features, Pocket still retains the simplified reading experience from Read it Later. When you tap on an article you’ll be taken to a clean screen to read your bookmarked items without distraction.

Unlike the Read it Later apps, Pocket is a free download for iPhone, iPad, Android and your browser. All are available from the link below right now.
