Creative thinking is not synonymous with safe thinking, yet we forget to take risks when trying to come up with truly great ideas. This is something that Albert Einstein, the originator of this quote, is famous for understanding. If you neglect to entertain absurdity, you’re ruling out many potentially great ideas. Consider everything weird.

My litmus test has always been to accept the strange ideas when I’m afraid to share them. An absurd idea is often just that, but being afraid to share it means I actually think it’s good and I’m worried about how others will judge it. That’s how I know I have something worth pursuing.
