Sign Up For Early Access To Spotify Australia

Music streaming service Spotify has told journalists that it will reveal details of its Australian launch plans this week. If you’re keen to try it, signing up on the existing Spotify site for launch notification makes sense.

Spotify hasn’t yet said whether it will use a limited invitation-based model (which is how it originally launched in Europe and then the US) in Australia. Given that there are already plenty of other competitors locally (including JB Hi-Fi Now, Rdio and Rara.com), it might offer access to all Australians right from the start. But if it doesn’t, being on the mailing list seems the best shot right now at getting an early invitation. [imgclear]

Impatient users have long been able to access Spotify via a VPN, but offering a local option is a welcome addition.
