Make Your Hangers And Shower Curtains Glide With Wax Paper

It’s a simple, cheap trick that takes just a minute to do but will pay off every time you use the shower or go through the clothes in your closet: Use waxed paper to make hangers and shower curtains glide.

Household Magic Daily Tips offers this clever trick for your closet so your hangers will move along smoothly and easily.

I discovered that you can use the wax paper for shower curtains too and used the tip to correct a very grievous shopping mistake: metal shower curtain rings bought for a metal shower rod (yeah, pretty dumb). Whenever we pulled the shower curtain, the metal-on-metal would screech very annoyingly. After rubbing the curtain rod with the wax paper, however, now there’s no more screeching and the shower curtain does glide much better. Hooray! Wax paper found in the baking aisle of the supermarket works well.
