Inside 99designs' Funky San Francisco Workspace

Freelance design outsource 99designs started in Australia, but these days 32 staff work from its main San Francisco base. Its newly-opened premises have the classic SF warehouse feel: exposed beams and open desks.

The office has been decorated with prints and murals by company staff, which I guess proves you don't have to outsource every design task. Really, I'm just jealous I didn't get flown to the opening party to play beer pong.

    don't you mean 'I didn't get' hahahahaha

I had to, sorry. Between US spelling on Australian sitesand miss spelling of words (news.com.au), it just annoys me at time and the big web sites have proof readers and spell checkers right?

"...Between US spelling on Australian sitesand miss spelling of words..." Your point is duly noted Barry.

    Another correction :-)
    "exposed beams and open desaks"
    "desks" probably?
Was this article typed in a hurry? ;-)

Exposed beams? looks like an un-finished ceiling to me.

They are actually exposed beams, dickweed. Ceiling cat told me so.

Not what I was expecting. Less fire and brimstone than you would think.

real freelancers don't work for the likes of companies like 99designs..

Real freelancers do what they goddamn choose to do. If they can find a way to get 99designs to work out for them then so be it! No need to bring everyone else down with you.
