The TW9000W made headlines at IFA last September and has now hit Australia. It’s not your average 1080p home theatre projector: WirelessHD eliminates cable clutter in your office or living room, and for 3D, 480Hz active shutter tech delivers a brighter image. The TW9000W also converts 2D images into 3D – made more immersive with 2400 lumens brightness and a dynamic 200,000:1 contrast ratio.
Now you have true choice in where you install your projector. Wirelessly beam HDMI-quality signals from Blu-ray players, game consoles or set top boxes without compression or deterioration, giving high quality images every time.
The TW9000W includes a compact WirelessHD transmitter (pictured) right in the box. Two 3D glasses are also included.
Epson’s new 3LCD optical engine provides vibrant, bright colours in both 2D and 3D modes, in addition to a dynamic contrast ratio of 200,000:1 for incredible blacks -- in a range of ambient lighting conditions. And the TW9000W can also project a 1080p image up to 7.6m in size.
But how’s it handle 3D? A major hurdle in all 3D systems is maintaining image brightness and thus picture quality. The TW9000W addresses this by using a 480Hz Active Shutter system rather than the slower 240Hz system. This minimises the blackout time (cross talk) of 3D glasses. The less time the lenses are closed, the more light can come through resulting in a brighter image.
The Best In Home Cinema
As you’d expect on a projector of this calibre, the TW9000W conforms to THX Certification and ISF Calibration, ensuring you’ll achieve accurate and exceptional image quality. You also get a handy split-screen viewing capability that lets you project two images side-by-side.
Finally, the TW9000W has anamorphic capabilities in both 2D and 3D. When content is played back on a 16:9 screen, the viewer sees black bars above and below the image. Anamorphic Widescreen (vertical stretch) mode fills the 16:9 imaging area, pushing black bars out of the viewing area. When used with an anamorphic lens assembly in this mode, the full, original theatrical aspect ratio is restored (i.e. the entire screen is filled with the image). And, all imaging pixels are used, resulting in a brighter picture.
