Xbox AFL Now Live, But No Live Grand Final

The Foxtel Play AFL on Xbox channel we noted earlier in the week has gone live today, and is free for existing subscribers for a month. But as we suspected, while the full paid version gets you a lot of football, it doesn’t get you a live grand final.A Foxtel representative confirmed the end of season arrangements to us:

FOXTEL on Xbox 360 will broadcast five LIVE finals series matches on FOOTY PLAY+, with four matches (including the Grand Final) broadcast on delay.

Given that the Grand Final will end up on free-to-air anyway, it’s not necessarily a deal-breaker. But it is worth knowing.
