Retickr Updates With A Better Interface And More

Mac: The personalised RSS news ticker Retickr released an update this week that adds a handful of improvements, including a streamlined interface, news time customisations and more.

When we last looked at Retickr, it had a few kinks in it, especially on larger screens. The interface, although passable, wasn’t as good as it could be. This update improves the interface and makes the news ticker run smoother. The relevancy of the news displayed seems improved, and you can now load stories in a small window without launching your browser. The update also introduces a time slider so you can decide how old the news that slides across your screen can be. Like the original version, you can add RSS feeds, create custom playlists, and bookmark items for later reading.

If you want a news ticker running across your screen, but had issues with Retickr when it launched last year, it might be worth taking another look. It’s a free download in the Mac App Store.
