Make A Soap Dish From An Old Dish Rack

IKEA’s wooden $3.99 Magasin dish drainer does the business, but like any dish drainer it ends up worn and stained eventually. Here’s a nifty repurpose for the leftover pieces: a simple soap dish.

At IKEA Hackers, Pierre-Alain details how he made both a router shelf and a soap dish from the Magasin, but I must admit it was the latter use that caught my eye. You could use the same approach with any wooden dish rack.
