What’s In Your DIY Toolkit?

Whether your project of choice involves getting arms deep in the guts of your own hand-built PC, a fancy Arduino project, some basic home repairs, or you like to get dirty under the hood of your car, you probably have a kit full of essential tools you need to do most jobs. We’re wondering: what projects do you tackle, and what are the essentials in your toolkit?

Obviously the tools in your toolkit will vary with the type of project you enjoy working on. If you building your own computers and constantly tinker with a hand-built gaming PC or HTPC, you’ll need different tools than if you’re a crafty-type and make jewellery, or spend hours in the garage working on your car. Even so, there are some tools that are just indispensable, that beginners and experts alike have to have if they’re interested in DIY projects.

Let us know in the comments below what types of DIY projects you do in your free time, and the things in your toolbox you’d never give up — or suggest everyone have if they’re thinking about getting started. What do you suggest everyone have one of if they’re planning to do some fixing around the house, or build their first robot at home?
