Ourspot is a social networking service that creates individual “spots” for sharing things you find on the web with specific people. What you want to share and who you want to share it with is entirely up to you.

Ourspot doesn’t appear to see itself as a Facebook replacement — as you can sign in using your Facebook credentials — but rather an extension of the service for those who want to share privately. You can even dual-post to Facebook if you want. You can favourite stuff you find online so they’re always accessible to members of a particular “spot”, and you can post notes and images as well. Ourspot figures out what you’re adding and categorises it for you.
The web app is simple, but it serves a good niche and is very easy to use. If you’re looking to share some things more privately, this is a good way to do it — especially now that Fridge, which used to do this, has been acquired by Google.
