Use A Tea Strainer To Sift Icing Sugar

Need to dust the top of a cake with icing sugar? You’ll want to sift it for a nice even layer without clumps. If you don’t have a dedicated flour or sugar sifter, TheKitchn suggests reaching for a tea strainer instead to get the same effect.

As well as being a more common kitchen item, a tea strainer lets you deal with smaller quantities — great if you want to cover the tops of muffins or small baked goods.
