To-Do Manager Astrid Adds Featured Lists, New UI

iOS/Android: Popular mobile to-do manager Astrid took the wraps off its new Android and iPhone apps recently, completely overhauling the interface to make it easier to get right to the items you’re working on, see all of the related information around a specific item, and access featured lists from some of the developers’ favourite sites to help you add some fun and time-saving projects to your list.

The new UI is cleaner and more polished than the previous version, puts the most important information about a to-do front and centre, and gives you control over how many related items you see on-screen without having to tap the “more” button to bring up additional information. Also, when you mark tasks complete, you can tap them to go directly to the task editing screen, saving a step in between.

The new “featured lists” are favourite blog entries and topics from sites like WikiHow and of course, Lifehacker, for to-dos and projects that you’ve been meaning to add to your list but never got around to doing.

The new versions of Astrid for iOS and Android are available now in their respective app markets, and even the Astrid Chrome add-on has been updated with the new UI. The developers note that an additional feature update will go out today, so if you’re giving Astrid a fresh look or updating your version today, don’t miss that update when it goes live.
