The Iconic Home Screen

Reader Matthew Lucas has crafted a completely black and white, textless home screen with shortcuts to just about everything you could want.

Another rebel from the popular text-filled home screens we’ve seen lately, Matthew put together the above home screen using ADWLauncher EX with the Minimalist theme.

The top row of icons are widgets from Zoom, that tweak Bluetooth, Brightness, Sound, and Wi-Fi settings. The rest are either app shortcuts or folders for a specific category of apps, like Music Apps, Android System Apps, or Calling apps. He also has the Circle Battery Widget displayed on the second row and the app drawer in the bottom right corner.
