Sing Yourself A Song To Remember Whether You Turned Off The Stove

From the “silly but useful” files: YouTube comedians Joe and Buzz explain how to remember that thing you always forget — whether it be turning off the stove, locking your apartment door, or feeding the cat. Just sing yourself a little song after you perform the action in question.

The above video, while humorous, actually has a clever solution to a problem we all deal with. You can adapt it however you want, but their suggestion of changing the words to popular tunes that fit the task at hand (“I turned off that burning ring of fire”) can actually be a really good memory booster. And by using a different tune each day — which could get pretty funny as time progresses — you’ll be able to say with confidence “yes, I remembered to turn off the stove this morning”. Check out the video above for more details.
