Opera 11.60 Enhances Mail, Browser Performance


2011 has seen browsers updating faster than ever before, though Opera hasn’t adopted the Firefox trick of upping the version number every couple of months. Its newly-released version 11.60 desktop browser adds an enhanced mail client, better support for handling rendering erors, an improved browser engine and changes to auto-suggestions in the address field.

Those aren’t massive magnitude changes even compared to , but that’s been true of most browser enhancements in recent years. It will be interesting to see how the new release stacks up the next time we run our browser performance tests, though Opera already advanced plans for Opera 12 as well. Opera is a free download for Windows, Mac and Linux.
