Nowbox Turns YouTube Into A TV Guide

If you’ve ever wanted YouTube to look more like a TV guide, Nowbox is a new app for iPad that pulls your channel subscriptions and lays them out in the same way as an electronic guide.

The default YouTube player on iPad isn’t bad, but it doesn’t do much in the way of curating content or organising your channel subscriptions. Nowbox does both and you can not only find new channels to watch based on the app’s recommendations, but also keep better track of the channels you already enjoy.

If you’re more of a social person, you can also link your Twitter and Facebook accounts to create custom channels dedicated to all the wacky cat videos your friends are sharing on social networks. The way it organises content is intuitive and easy to pick up on and it’s worth checking out if you use your iPad for YouTube a lot. It’s a free download in iTunes, but only available on iPad at the moment.
