iOS 5.1 Beta 2 Allows Photo Deletion In iCloud

Today Apple seeded the second beta of iOS 5.1 to developers, fixing several bugs and further paving the way to the next semi-significant update to the mobile operating system.

While the latest version seems to concentrate primarily on bug fixes, it looks like Apple may have added the ability to easily delete photos from your iCloud photo stream directly from your iOS device. Check out Boy Genius Report for the full change log.

    • I think the idea is that you aren’t supposed to think of it as cloud storage. It only holds a certain number of photos (1000?) for 30 days. I guess it’s just to make it easier to sync certain things to other devices without doing a full sync to everything. But yes, it is short sighted to not think someone may really want to nuke certain photos without having to wait 30 days.
