Camtasia Studio For Mac Adds New Editing Tools

Mac: Camtasia Studio is one of our favourite screencasting tools, and TechSmith, the company behind the app, updated the Mac version today to version 2.0, which includes new annotations for your screencasts and videos, blur effects so you can obscure sensitive information, visual effects to add some interest, and more.

The new version of Camtasia Studio is available for $US99 ($US49 if you’re upgrading from a previous version), but you can download a 30-day free trial if you want to give it a shot and see if the new features are worth it to you. In addition to the visual effects, the new version of Camtasia Studio for Mac also offers mobile and hardware device frames that give your videos the appearance of playback on a mobile device, cursor highlighting so your videos automatically zoom in on the place where your mouse or cursor is on screen, and new frame and timeline extension tools that lengthen video frames or squeeze in some visual effects without losing audio sync.

Camtasia Studio for Mac 2.0 is available now directly from Techsmith and will be in the Mac App Store soon.
