iOS: Vimessa is a new video-sharing service that lets you record and share HD videos from your iPhone to your friends anywhere in the world for free, regardless of whether they also use the app. If your friends do use the app, they can view your videos almost instantly, as you’re uploading.Vimessa isn’t the only video-sharing app available, but what makes it unique is that you can shoot and share your videos in HD without downsampling them before sending them to your friends. When you do send your video message and your friends respond, Vimessa keeps those conversations threaded so you can review them easily later. Best of all, Vimessa allows you to send those messages for free, bypassing your carrier’s SMS allocation. The app is only available for iOS at the moment, but the developers say an Android version is on the way soon.
Vimessa is free, supports the iPhone4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch and iPad 2, and is available now in the iTunes App Store.
