Swackett Is A Weather App That Tells You What To Wear

Mac/iPhone: Swackett is a portmanteau of “sweater, jacket or coat” and is slang for times when it’s cold enough that you should wear an extra layer. The app that bears the name not only gives you all the routine weather data, but it also displays avatars that show what types of clothing you should be wearing in the current weather.

Swackett is fun — the graphic design is cute and in addition to clothing it tells you to carry an umbrella on a rainy day, while on hot days it reminds you to bring sunscreen and a water bottle. This seems like a great app for younger users and if you travel frequently the clothing and accessory tips may come in handy. Users can also switch their normal graphics to display in varied forms such as 50’s or British Invasion fashion. There are also hidden easter egg peeps wearing Star Trek uniforms or appearing as celebrities that will display on special days or conditions.

Swackett is a free ad-supported app for computers running OS X in the Mac App Store and iPhones in the iTunes App Store. The Mac App also has a premium version, Swackett X that removes ads and adds animations, photos, and extra options. An iPad version is in development. Video by TweetHeart TV
