Lifehacker Awards 2011: Best Web App Nominations

Throughout this week, we're collecting nominations for the Lifehacker Awards 2011. Our category today: web apps.

As with mobile apps, some web apps are useful because they work in conjunction with desktop software. Others are handy because they give you access to features through a browser without forcing you to install software. But whichever web apps you love and can't live without, if you think they should be on our shortlist for voters, tell us (and tell us why) in the comments.

Don't forget you can also offer nominations in our best domestic airline, best desktop software, best ADSL/cable ISP, best mobile app and best mobile broadband categories, and there'll be more categories to nominate in throughout the week before voting starts on Monday November 21.

As if it needed saying; Google Documents. For the last six weeks I have been using it in lieu of Office and I must say; goodness am I impressed. I don't know where I've been and under which rock exactly. But it certainly gets my vote.

    Gmail for my money

Google Reader ! :) Gmail a close second.. and Hypem 3rd

productivewebapps.com loves all web apps :)

And probably a bit too new... but i vote ThinkUp for next year's award!

Mindmeister for me. They improved it this year and added extra support for tablets and Android.

Google Reader, and Gmail with it's new interface, are pretty cool.

    500px.com

It's what flickr would of been if it wasn't bought by yahoo and swallowed up into the machine

lucidchart Awesome(st) better IMO than visio(PC), dia(LINUX) or even omnigraffle(MAC)
