Dealhacker: Free Platinum Status At Accor Hotels

French hotel chain Accor runs a bunch of hotel brands, from the luxurious (Sofitel) to the bargain-basement (Formule1). Attaining platinum status normally requires a lot of stays, but right now there’s a workaround that can get you automatically upgraded.

Australian Business Traveller points out a method where you can have a standard A|Club membership automatically upgraded to Platinum status. It worked just fine with my existing A|Club membership, and it also works if you sign up for the scheme via the link. Benefits of platinum membership include late check-outs to 4pm, free room upgrades and faster points earning.

Hit the link for the full guide. It seems likely Accor will can this promotion eventually, so get in quick if you want to take advantage.
