Repurpose An Old Marker Into A Permanent Ink Remover Pen

Nail polish remover is a great way to remove ink from permanent markers, but not everyone keeps it on hand, especially in the workplace. Instructables user Candymanproductions shows how you can make a permanent ink remover pen by adding nail polish remover to a dried-out highlighter or other marker.

The crafting of the permanent ink remover is pretty simple: cut the non-pen end of the marker off with a knife or hacksaw, fill up the cartridge inside with nail polish remover and tape the cap back on with a heavier-duty tape (such as electrical or duct tape) to make sure it doesn’t leak. You can also use your new pen to remove hand stamps.
