Vodafone Nabs Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray

Exclusive Android deals are an annoying fact we all have to deal with if we want contract phones. Vodafone has the Australian exclusive on the Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray, which goes on sale from September 28.

Running Android 2.3, the key selling point of this phone (which I'm going to check out properly this afternoon) is its 8.1MP camera. As ever with Vodafone, you can choose between 12 and 24 month contracts, but you'll pay a higher price on the former. Hit the link for full pricing details over at Gizmodo.

    Exclusive Android deals are not an annoying fact, they're quite irrelevant.

    No one in their right mind will switch to Vodafone.

    This "Exclusive Android deal" illustrates;
    1./ SE are desperate, and
    2./ no other carrier showed any interest.
    That is all.

    Unless it has a built in Death Ray, I'm going to leave this one.

    I quite like the design of this phone and may end up getting it once it comes out.

    Having said this I intend to just buy it outright so I don't have to change my service, I quite like my current offer thank you.

    Normally this would be an issue, but it's Vodafone. I mean like hey, coverage-wise they're not amazing, but it's free to unlock their phones so why not get one, unlock it online to avoid social interaction (come on, we all know we're introverts) and enjoy the benefits of android?

    Ugh... I was actually interested in this phone because of the sweet design and my desire to get away from iphones. but vodafail? why SE!?! Looks like its an iphone 4S for me.
